When waking up drinking some coffee, I start with some Ledward Kaapana, Sonny Chillingworth, or Keola Beamer.

As the day goes on, move into some Landon McNamara, Sun Room, Kolohe Kai, Matisyahu, Led Zeppelin, and many more. When the weekend rolls along, I’m all about cranking up my local boys The Happys, SoulSka, and rootsy sounds of DJ Adam Twelve Bigga Happiness.

 
What is your favorite food/s?

Shoyu Ahi Poke with wasabi, and like it best when eating in the islands.  I like to drink Shaka Pineapple Mint iced tea.  So ono!

If you could go back in time, what era would it be, and where would you go?

I would definitely go back to the early 1930’s Waikiki. I would be hanging with my young Grandmother and Grandfather along with the Duke and Waikiki Beach Boys.  It would be one of the most all time moments ever.

If you could sit down with anyone to have a 60 minute conversation, who would it be and why? 

This is a tough one… I think I would like to sit down with my young Grandmother, Grandfather, and Duke Kahanamoku.  Hopefully, we would be floating on boards in the waters of Waikiki back in the day.  

Tell us something about yourself that not many people know?

My grandmother was very big in the hula scene in the 1920s and 30s in Waikiki. The artist John Kelly had painted a portrait of my grandmother, which was on the Royal Hawaiian Hotel’s restaurant menu cover. Today, the painting is available in pretty much every Hawaiiana store in the Islands. My grandmother used to dance at the Moana Surfrider Hotel, along with the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, and was a huge part of the Waikiki Beach Boy era and was close with duke Kahanamoku.
