How long have you been surfing?
Favorite Surf Spot/s:
My favorite spot would have to be Medewi in Indonesia. The Left goes on forever!
What kind of surfboard/s are you riding?
I just transitioned into Blake Lundquist Boards. He is making some very crafty boards. You will mostly catch me on a longboard, but I cannot pass up a good mid-length or mini-Simmons when the waves get a little bigger.
What music/ bands are you listening to nowadays?
Reggae will always hold a special place, as our local area has so much history and roots… This past year I spent some time away from California. Been hanging out in Colorado and Montana for a bit now and got into Colter Wall and some of this new wave of country music. It’s actually pretty surfy if you listen to it right.
What is your favorite food/s?
I was raised on Italian.
If you could go back in time, what era would it be, and where would you go?
If I could go back to any time, I would go back to early 1900s San Clemente and surf empty waves, convince people to keep their ranches, and appreciate how simple it used to be.
If you could sit down with anyone to have a 60 minute conversation, who would it be and why?
I would love to have conversation with whoever actually built the pyramids in Egypt. I’m not into conspiracies, but I can’t get over that.
Tell us something about yourself that not many people know?
I have had nine cars since high school? They have all been very fun to work on and a couple of them couldn’t even get me to the beach half the time. One of the more fun projects I had was a 1962 Ford Fairlane It would break down so much I would skateboard the rest of the way and pick it up another day.
